Mata Athletics (bio below) will be leading a fielding clinic. Clinic is FREE to 4S Ranch Spring registered players, but you must sign up as we are limited to 30 slots per session. Sal and his assistants will go thru several drills and skills designed to help build strong fundamentals. Looking forward to seeing your daughter out there and learning some fielding skills!

Sal Mata - Co Founder - Born and raised in San Diego. Coach Sal has 16 year’s experience coaching youth sports. He has coached wrestling, football, baseball, and softball at a very high level. Former founder of Firecrackers MG based out of San Diego, Ca. Some of his former players are currently playing both professionally and collegiately. He has helped develop some of the top infielders in San Diego County. His goal is to provide opportunities for any young athlete looking to better their overall skills and softball IQ. He has a passion to teach the game and encourage athletes to push themselves to their limits.
Anthony Mata - Co Founder - Anthony is also a San Diego native and attended Steele Canyon and Grossmont High School. He was a 4-year Varsity starter and was one of the top 2020 shortstop recruits in his class. He currently is attending the University of California Riverside in his Junior year as their full-time starting shortstop on a full baseball scholarship and is slotted to be in the 2023 MLB draft in June. He is currently being scouted by several MLB teams and is represented by Full Circle Sports Management which is Joe Musgroves agency.
Mata Athletics will have assistants that help run the clinic. Mariah Mata and Jacob Savoy. Both were 4-year starters in high school. Jacob currently attends Cal State University San Marcos and Mariah is planning to play softball at Westpoint in 2023 as a 2nd baseman.
